Resources for Empowerment & Growth
As I prepared for my upcoming maternity leave, I spent some time reflecting on what I most wanted these weeks to offer you. I kept coming back to one simple question:
Across my own personal journey and the work I've had the privilege of doing with clients, what has consistently been most helpful and empowering?
The answer wasn't a single therapeutic technique or intervention. Rather, it was learning how to return to ourselves—especially in moments when we feel overwhelmed, uncertain, disconnected, or stuck. It was developing greater confidence in our ability to navigate whatever life brings, understanding how our minds and bodies work, and having practical tools that help us reconnect with who we are and how we want to live.
Over the years, I've encountered many ideas that have profoundly shaped both my personal life and my work as a therapist. Some have come from well-established therapeutic approaches, while others have come from researchers, authors, and teachers whose work has helped me make sense of what it means to be more human. Together, they've offered a framework for understanding ourselves with greater compassion and responding to life's challenges with more intention.
The Purpose of These Weeks
Throughout these weeks, you'll explore a variety of concepts. Although these concepts come from different schools of thought, many of them point toward a similar destination: helping us become more grounded, more connected to ourselves, and more confident in our ability to navigate life's inevitable ups and downs.
Think of this as an invitation to engage with and reflect on a variety of ideas. You don't need to master every concept, nor will every exercise resonate equally. Instead, I hope you'll discover (or be reminded of) practices that fit you—tools that help you regulate your nervous system, understand yourself more deeply, clarify what matters most, and reconnect with your own inner wisdom and resilience.
None of these ideas are original to me, and I'm grateful to the many clinicians, researchers, authors, and teachers whose work has informed my own. What I've created here is simply a curated collection of the resources I have found to be the most practical, meaningful, and transformative—both personally and professionally.
Feel free to move through the material in order or jump to the topics that feel most relevant to where you are right now. Each week includes approximately one hour of content engagement, reflection, and practical exercises.
More than anything, I hope these resources help you build greater confidence in yourself and remind you that, even during life's most difficult seasons, you already possess many of the strengths and capacities you need—you may simply need a little help reconnecting with them.
P.S. You are doing a great job!
